Woodbury, MN., July 23, 2009—Dascom Systems Group, LLC, the leading IPTV systems integrator in the United States, today announced that Mike Carney has joined the company as National Sales Director, IPTV.

In his new role, Carney will continue his support of service providers offering a complete IPTV solution by leveraging Dascom service offerings, systems integration and partnerships. Dascom deploys both stand-alone and aggregated IPTV headends that include multiple transport, middleware and encryption choices, along with systems integration by one of the most experienced IPTV teams in the industry. With IPTV headends integrated by Dascom, telephone companies are able to potentially increase their competitive edge and revenue by enhancing subscriber-based services with television offerings that could include video-on-demand, HD channels, local channels, digital video recording and more.

Before joining Dascom, Carney was the National Sales Director, IPTV, for the National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative (NRTC), where he was responsible for sales of IPTV solutions. Prior to that, Carney assisted early adopter telephone companies in their IPTV deployments at Minerva Networks and Skystream Networks, and held several management positions at Ericsson and RCA. Carney holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Indiana State University.
