DASCOM INSTALLATION HELPS GEORGIA TELEPHONE COMPANY SET NEW STATE TELECOMMUNICATIONS STANDARDS

Pacesetter Ringgold Telephone adds digital video and entertainment television to service offerings

July 30, 2002, Ringgold, GA.,-- With the recent addition of digital video over existing copper lines, Ringgold becomes the first business in Georgia and among a small group nationally to offer its customers live television and interactive entertainment over a digital subscriber line network carried on a fiber optic backbone.

Bundled Services
With bundled voice, data and Internet services over one line and on one bill, Ringgold discovers a new revenue source while consumers get a response to their growing demands for more interactivity and content choice in TVs and PCs. The system installed by DSG enables subscribers to watch TV with digital cable, surf the Web with Internet services, and get caller ID on the TV screen while sending/receiving emails - all simultaneously without interference.

Georgia Pacesetter
Ringgold is now not only the first in the state of Georgia to provide DSL, high-speed Internet service to every customer in its 122 square mile service area in 2000, but also is breaking new ground in 2002 with the DSG installation by offering subscribers 187 digital channels of live television and music, video-on-demand (VOD), pay-per-view (PPV), worldwide web access and caller-ID on the television screen in addition to existing telephone services.
