DASCOM COMPLETES IPTV SYSTEM UPGRADE TO SOUTHEAST TECHNICAL COLLEGE- WINONA/RED WING, MN
A videoconferencing upgrade links SETC's Winona and Red Wing campuses more efficiently for joint instruction and training

December 19, 2002—Winona, Minn.-- Dascom Systems Group recently completed integration of a sophisticated IPTV system upgrade to SETC to enable timeliness and convenience between school sites.  

As SETC was using an existing network for distance education, the new addition had to be a smooth transition. SETC would use the existing network for distance education as in the past, but through the upgrade would now have the ability to switch "modes" and use the Tandberg 6000 Codecs to directly dial any other site also containing a codec. Using the added Tandberg configuration and equipment, SETC now has the opportunity to launch a session whenever they wish- rather than calling the old network to setup/schedule a session. 

The DL-Navigator (Eastview Industries touch screen control system) provides full site control of AV, multimedia and conferencing equipment. Operated from a 15" LCD touch panel screen, the DL-Navigator required no additional programming for SETC and offers ease in operation while providing local and far-end remote control.
