The Marathon County Special Education Video Conference Reference Room (VCRC) functions as a meeting room, videoconference center, reference room and developing staff center for Marathon County Special Education (MCSE) students, districts and staff.
Within MCSE, special education programs and services are provided to 6 rural school districts, 650 students and approximately 100 staff that mainly use the VCRC for: planning of service meetings between districts, behavioral consultation meetings, superintendent meetings and communication between students that are deaf or hard of hearing through sign language over videoconference.
Standout Technology:
Standout technology in the VCRC includes an in-ceiling document camera, large flat screen plasma televisions, a DVD recorder and three advanced pan/tilt/zoom cameras.
