Project Snapshot
In an effort to make City Council and Planning Commission meetings more impactful, the City of Otsego, Minnesota enlisted the help of Dascom Systems Group for the integration
of a professional audio/video system that would enhance meetings with multimedia presentation capabilities.

A Major Upgrade
Prior to the integration, the City of Otsego had a limited presentation setup that consisted of print documents displayed on a projection screen via an overhead projector. With this upgrade, city staff or other presenters can simply plug their laptops in to the new system and display their presentation on three viewing screens within the room. In addition to this ease of use, city staff also have access to a user-friendly touch screen control panel which operates and switches all equipment in the room– from the ceiling document camera to the projector– for a rich multimedia experience that holds the attention of the audience.

Standout Technology Features
This room showcases two high-resolution front projection screens with wide-angle viewing for council members, city staff and those seated in the audience. With 10 times the contrast and brightness of a standard white projection screen, these spectacular screens are a standout feature for the City of Otsego.

According to the City of Otsego’s city clerk Judy Hudson, “This is a technology upgrade we couldn’t imagine giving up or living without. It has enhanced our meetings immensely.”
