March 1995

 

Dascom founded by Dan Takkunen and Scott Apfelbacher at 475 Etna Street in Saint Paul, Minnesota

July 1995

 

Our first employee is hired: Curt Monson

Sept. 1995

 

Provided first distance learning classrooms to Northwest Iowa Telephone and KIDS Network in Minnesota

Feb. 1996

 

The first product is developed under subsidiary manufacturer label Eastview Industries - the SHOTBOX

July 1996

 

Dascom becomes approved classroom integrator for the statewide Iowa Communications Network (ICN)

Sept. 1996

 

10 classrooms installed for the Niobrara Valley Distance Education Network in Nebraska

Sept. 1996

 

Dascom installs the first Sony EVI-D30 camera in the United States

Jan. 1997

 

Wisconsin's NDEN network goes online... the first of over 300 distance education classrooms provided by Dascom in Wisconsin

June 1997

 

DL-Navigator PC-based room control system is introduced by Dascom/ Eastview Industries for the statewide Iowa Communications Network

Oct. 1998

 

Dascom ranked 16th fastest-growing private company in the Twin Cities by Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal

Nov. 1998

 

Dascom moves headquarters to expanded facilities in Woodbury, Minnesota

  Dascom ranked 25th fastest-growing private company by Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal

Jan. 2000

 

Expanded technical service regions to include remote technicians in Wisconsin, South Dakota, Iowa, Missouri and Nebraska

Selected to Entreprenuer Magazine's HOT 100 list of America's fastest-growing businesses and ranked 47th out of Dun & Bradstreet's 62 million companies

  Dascom takes the Grand Prize worldwide in Presentations Magazine "Presentations Room Awards" for integration at MSCC in Arkansas
Oct. 2002
  Completed integration at Wisconsin's Bayport High School, then the largest and newest education facility in the state
July 2002
  Added cable to Ringgold Telephone's services- making them the first Georgia business to offer live TV over a DSL network carried on a fiber optic backbone
June 2003
  Finished integration at Allied Insurance headquarters- 52 room project including boardrooms, training rooms, fitness center and cafeteria
Jan. 2004
  Added sales offices in Des Moines and Milwaukee
May 2004
  Ranked 30th in Pro-AV Magazine's list of the nation's top AV systems integrators
June 2005
  Awarded Wisconsin BadgerNet Conversion Network (BCN) statewide contract for room conversion
June 2006
  Acquired by private equity investment firm, and continues to operate as Dascom Systems Group, LLC.

  Dascom announces completion of distance education network IP upgrade to Northeast Nebraska Network Consortium.
